The Personal Injury Education Foundation Ltd was established in 2006 by a consortium of Australian and New Zealand accident compensation regulators, insurers and claims management organisations who shared the vision of creating leading educational programs, initiatives and events focused on the needs of those working in the accident compensation industry.

The programs and events developed by PIEF have been designed to enrich and enhance the range and depth of personal injury management skills, leading to better outcomes for all accident compensation schemes and the communities they are designed to serve.

THE IFDM 2014
The International Forum on Disability Management (IFDM) 2014 will be held in Melbourne, Australia from Sunday 16 November to Wednesday 19 November 2014 and is hosted by the Personal Injury Education Foundation (PIEF), and supported by the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) and Victorian Workcover Authority (VWA). Held biennially since 2002, IFDM is a catalyst for addressing issues of disability on a world stage. IFDM is the only global conference dedicated to in-depth discussion of problems, trends, and best practices in disability management.

The 4th Australasian Compensation Health Research Forum 2014 will be held in Melbourne on 19 November 2014 at the Grand Hyatt, Melbourne. It will follow the International Forum of Disability Management Conference (IFDM) and will be held at the same venue. The focus of the 2014 Forum is "The Influence of mental health and psychosocial factors on recovery outcomes”

The 2014 Excellence in PIM Awards:
The purpose of the Excellence in Personal Injury Management Awards is to celebrate and showcase the personal injury industrys many outstanding achievements and to acknowledge its importance in the broader community.



PIEF Webinar series
Held live and online, webinars provide an opportunity for participants from around Australia to come together in a cost-effective and time-efficient way. Whilst sitting at their own computers, participants have been able to engage with each other and with experts from across the globe.

Motivational Interactions Workshops:
The Motivational Interactions Workshop will help you develop the necessary skills to effectively work with injured clients / workers presenting with a range of barriers relating to change, in order to better facilitate positive return to work and life outcomes. The MI training delivered nationally in partnership with PIEF, AP Psychology & Consulting Services are pleased to be delivering public workshops again for the foreseeable future.
